Denise Fernandes

Pastor Denise has served alongside her husband, Senior Pastor Gerald Fernandes, for 33 years. During those years, she has served with her husband as Children’s Ministry Director, Youth Leader, and Co-leader of the Marriage Ministry. She and Pastor have four incredible daughters and nine grandchildren. Her desire to serve God and love her children and grandchildren has given her a heart for generations, which drives her to serve more and more. Early on, the Lord positioned her in the corporate world, where she developed and honed her gifts of administration and management, which have benefited the church and the community. Her spiritual gifts of discernment and prophecy enhance the work of ministry as she speaks with God-given authority that encourages believers in their faith and the destiny God has for them.

Donna Johnson

Asst Pastor/Soup Kitchen

Pastor Donna is a member of the OFC Church Council and serves as Director of the Nursery Program. She and her husband, Stix, founded the Heart n’ Soul Soup Kitchen over 20 years ago.  The soup kitchen is an integral and well-known ministry to the community that does more than provide meals to people in need. Pastor Donna has set a very high standard for how OFC “guests” will be treated. Tablecloths and colorful seasonal centerpieces express the love and care of God. Fresh produce and free clothing are distributed when available.  She hosts a Canal Cruise fundraiser for the soup kitchen every summer. People travel from Connecticut and Boston for this annual sold-out event.
Pastor Donna coordinates the Salvation Army bell ringers you see during Christmas.  Her community outreach activities include Thanksgiving food baskets, Christmas vouchers, and gifts for children.

Joseph Goodine

Asst Pastor/ Evangilism

He has an amazing testimony of how God graciously used his born again teenage son’s church family to speak words of love and faith-filled encouragement at a critical time that led to his entering rehab. While in rehab he studied the word of God and discovered God’s deep and abiding love for him. Touched by that love, he gave his heart to the Lord in 1998. He has a deep compassion for the lost and those struggling with addiction.
He oversees the OFC Mission and Evangelism teams and leads bible studies in New Bedford. He has taken missionary trips to Iloilo City in the Philippines and participated in the Relief Bus which feeds the homeless in New York City.

He has a heart for evangelism and discipleship. His favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11, and he holds firm to the motto, “Serving God by Serving Others.”
Pastor David grew in his relationship with the Lord through discipleship & ministry training while being on the church leadership team, serving on the church council, and working on staff.
His educational background was with the ELN School of Ministry program, with a focus on Pastoral Leadership, in 2015. He is also a graduate of the New England Bible Institute (formerly NEFBI) and participated in the district church multiplication cohort. Manuel Andrews

Asst Pastor/Chaplaincy

Pastor Manny gave his heart to the Lord in 1988 after seeing his parents turn their lives around after attending a bible study. Looking back on those influential years, he can see how the Lord used his experiences to bring him to where he is now.  He placed a high value on mentoring, but through careful bible study, he learned the difference between mentoring and disciplining. Now, as a disciple-maker, he delights in ushering people into a deeper relationship with the Lord.
As an assisting minister, he has served as a life group facilitator. He is certified as a FEMA Disaster Relief First Responder, teaches Bible studies, preaches, and serves as a hospital chaplain. Pastor Manny is known as a “cradle-to-grave” Pastor as God has anointed him to reach all ages, with babies, teens, and the elderly being his unique gift.
